Exercises Following Session 7

It is important at this stage that you begin to realise that the coursing order as described so far is not only applicable to Plain Bob but can be applied to any method that has Plain Bob lead heads and lead ends.

To that end it is important that you notice that whatever method you are ringing you always do the same dodges with the same bells at the lead end. It is also important to notice that in many of the simpler methods the bells are passed either in coursing order or some simple variant of it.

The main exercise for this session is to try to become more aware of the similarities between methods and to start to become familiar with the idea that although the coursing order is not necessarily applied directly to every method there is often a simple adaptation of it that allows a method to be accurately conducted.
