PLAIN BOB DOUBLES - A 120

The table below shows a complete 120 of Plain Bob Doubles with the 5th unaffected written out in three columns to represent the three courses that it consists of. At the tops of each column are the coursing orders for the course shown in that column and at the bottoms of each column are the coursing orders produced by the bobs at the end of each course.

For each bob the call is made at the rows marked * and the call takes effect at the rows marked **. The new coursing orders are, therefore, operative from and including the rows marked **. Each new coursing order is obtained by changing the previous coursing order by applying the rule that the coursing order ABC becomes BCA.

Notice how, in each column, the coursing order at the top can be used to see the order in which the bells are passed by the 5th and the order in which they lead and lie.
